Bunny diapers

Question
I know it sounds crazy probably, but the way my bunny "pellets" everywhere and is only 9 weeks old so keeps urinating here and there dispite my efforts of training to litter box, has anyone used "diapers" for bunnies this young?

Also, my bunny licks me constantly and wondered if it's for the salt?  I haven't seen anything on rabbit.org about giving buns salt tabs.  any advice is appreciated.

Heard of any tricks on teaching buns to stop pelleting?

lastly, we are in a warmer climate and I read bun might like ice cubes in her water.  She went NUTS licking the tube as well as drinking it.  Something else I should know to make her happy?

Answer
I haven't heard of diapers for bunnies.  She is young and may just need to be kept in a cage longer until she gets the whole potty training concept.  Put the litter box in her cage where you want it to be when she is out and keep her in for a while (a few days) she may learn then.  Remember, she is a bunny not a cat and they don't learn litter training as easy or as young.

If you feed a good quality pellet like Manna Pro: Gro for her as a baby and Manna Pro as an adult then extra salt is usually not necessary, but you can offer it.  They sell salt wheels at pet stores and feed stores that you can hang on the side of the cage - you can get a multi pack that has one white salt wheel and one reddish one that has minerals in it, hang both at the same time and let her choose.

I have a friend that sells rabbit toys on Ebay pretty inexpensive.  They are wood for them to chew and rope to make them fun.  Also you can fill a 2 liter bottle with water and freeze it for a cool "bed" for the bunny to lean on (20 oz is OK, if 2 liter too big).  Many 4-H'ers do this at fairs.

Hope all this helps.  Let me know if you need anything else.
