Question
hiya we thinkmy female rabbit is pregnant as she has started to make a nest. we have seperated her from the male. she is continuing to make the nest with hay and sawdust but she is also taking clumps of her own hair is this normal? if not what should we do? another thing is before we seperated her she was tryin to get the males fur to put in with the hay to make her nest but now because they are seperated shes taking out hers we have been advised by the pet shop not to give her any cloth or fluffy things becuase her or her babies mat choke on it. what should we do? please reply thank you.

Answer
Since we don't breed rabbits, we cannot give you any firsthand information, but, here's some info that might help you out.

If she does have babies, I would get the male neutered and keep him away from the female for at least 4 weeks post-neuter, then after she has weaned the babies at 6-8 weeks you can have her spayed.

Pulling her fur out is normal if she is nesting.
