Question
I've had two rabbits since they were born , there a little over a year now. Ones a male(neutered), the others a spayed female. Ever since i got the female spayed , which was a little over a month ago, her behavior has changed dramaticaly. She no longer likes to be picked up and held, which she used to love. She doesnt like you to touch her in her cage anymore. And she's very reluctant to eat any treats. She still. eats her pellets with gusto tho. She also doesnt want to eat grass anymore, which used to be her favorite. She doesnt appear to have any health problems, i was wondering if these changes came about because of the spay? Shes acting like a totally different rabbit lately.

Answer
Surgery will cause some changes, although they aren't generally as dramatic as this rabbit's.  I know of a male that after his neuter shyed away from people.

You might check this out, it's info about spaying, although only the post-spay info is relevant - http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html

You might try a different kind of hay if you can, to see if she will eat that.

Then be patient with her, she's gone through huge hormonal changes lately and just may not be feeling quite herself yet.
