care of stray bunny

Question
We found a bunny that is obviously someone's pet.  We are putting an ad in the paper, but it won't run until Thursday and Friday.  We have noticed that "Bugs" is a little stinky, can we bathe him or anything to get him smelling better?  We have a cage that is probably too small for him and we would like to let him out to play and exercise, but he does smell pretty bad.  I thank you for your time and expertice on this matter.  We have never had a bunny before and so we are relying on neighbors and friends to help us until we find his home.

very sincerely,
LaLauni Rawls

Answer
Hi Lalauni,
Put some lukewarm water into a bowl and preferably buy some small animal shampoo (not cats and dogs) or use a small bit of skin sensitive soap, put him in the bath (he might not like this but be patient!) don't get any in his eyes, ears or nose and use a baby wipe to clean his bottom, dry him with a hairdryer (on minimum power) or just towel dry him, but don't let him outside until hes dry. He should smell sweet :)
Hope this helps
Katie
