Question
Hi,
I have a dutch bunny. she is about 5 month's old. three weeks ago I had given her a bath with special formulated bunny shampoo. A couple days later,i noticed her right eye was very red and inflamed . a few days later i noticed there was a white squiggily line in the pupil. A few days after it looked like it cleared up a little  but the  while line was stil there and every day I see it, its still there and is in some different position. As of now its like a while ring around her pupil. as a matter of fact her puple's are two different sizes. did the bunny shampoo cause this? I'm afraid its some type of ring  worm. My mom doesnt want 2 bring her to the vet because she thinks she's gonna have to spend like $400 dollars for one visit. I dont want my bunny to go blind or die. I <3 her very much. If you can, can you please tell me what it is and how it can be stopped or how to make it go away?

Answer
There is an antibiotic ointment called Terrimyacin that you can put in the eye.  You can purchase it at most feed stores.  If there is an infection this will help, but I am not real experienced with eye problems so I would suggest a vet visit.  Most vets cost the same for rabbits as cats and dogs and shouldn't be more than $50 total.
