No longer take Care

Hi,
I've had my rabbit for about 5 years now, but I have to leave
the country for a year. I have no choice, and no one wants
an old bunny. I 'm so frustrated and do not know what to
do. What kind of options do I have for a situation like this?

Answer
There are several options you could pursue.  If there is a rabbit rescue group in your area, approach them about possibly boarding your bunny for you for the year.  Or, approach your vet or other vets in the area to see if they have clients who have rabbits who might be willing to board your rabbit.

If you are going with the military, there are some organizations that will place animals for people on active duty, that might be a way to go.

As a last option, post at the same vets to see if anyone might buy the rabbit from you.
