Question
Hello again, seeing as the weather is warmer and everything is slowly drying up I am wondering if I can take my mini rex outside, she is used to her harrness and leash from exerciseing in non bunny proof areas in the house, I was wondering if I could take her in the back yard on her harrness and leash? for a few minutes on the nice days? there is mud in the back yard.... is it ok if she walks in mud? will it bother her feet? or could I just pour a bit of water on each foot and dry them when we come back in?, also in the summer can she come out and hop around if there is at lest some shade for her to rest in? also I am the one who is getting the trio of female new zealands at the end of the month, I tamed my mini rex by taking her out of her cage several times daily and walking around with her in my arms and talking to her as well as sitting in the bathroom with her exerciseing... but is this waht I'm supposed to do with three? also this may sound silly but since the new zealands are all white.... how can I tell them apart? I wouldnt want to be calling alice, jill or vice versa.... could I maybe put a mark with permant ink marker on the underside of there hind feet? a dot for one a x for the other and nothing on the last something like that? everyone has there own personality but in bunnys I think without the mark I'd get them mixed up, anyways thank you for your help in advance.

Answer
You can try taking her outside using the harness.  Make sure the lawn has not been treated with any pesticides just in case she eats any grass.  I wouldn't let her go through the mud, it would take forever to get off of her.  And you could take her out during the summer, as long as it isn't above 80, and she is supervised.

You can try that with the New Zealands, they may or may not take to that method.

One thing we did when we had 3 identical bunnies was to put magic marker spots on their foreheads, until it got to the point that we could tell them apart.  Or put the dot inside one ear.
