Question
What is the best way to get rid of bunny's urine odor?  I like to let her on the couch because she really seems to like it, but I dont want to have a stinky apartment! Also i dont want to waste a lot of money on expensive products that do not work.  I noticed that when I use dish soap, or laundry detergent the odor is still there.  Can you help me "clean" up this problem?
thanks, James

Answer
The best thing is to try to get her litter trained so she uses a box and not your couch.  Once she gets her odor someplace she will usually return there to go again.

Two products I have found helpful around the house for odors are baking soda and Febreeze.  You should get a carpet cleaner with a furnature attachment and use a pet odor shampoo to clean the sofa.  Sprinkle some baking soda on it as it drys and vaccuum of any that remains when it is dry.  Then spray with Febreeze -- then keep the bunny off until she is house trained.
