My New Rabbits Health

Question
I just purchased a new dutch rabbit, who is now 11 weeks old.  I've noticed that her belly seems to be 'hard' and slightly swollen.  I thought that she might have an upset stomach from the stress of a new home but her droppings are normal, she is eating and drinking regularly and is very active.  Is it normal for rabbits to have 'hard' bellies? Could she be pregnant?

Answer
Well, how long have you had her?  Rabbit pregnancies are 31 days.  It's also possible that she has gas, that will cause a hard stomach, but generally with that they quit eating.

You could try baby simethicone that you can get at the grocery store and see if that helps.

I hope it's not what you think, she's awfully young for that and probably wouldn't do a good job!
