Question
I rescued a young rabbit from a person just last night that did not know how to care for a rabbit. The rabbits both front are legs broken. From what I got from the person is this may have happened a week or so ago. The rabbit is other wise doing fine other than the fact of learning to walk on the broken legs. Wich he has learned to do very well. My quesion is: Is it to late to have the legs fixed or should the rabbit be put down?

Answer
It shouldn't be too late, if you check with a rabbit-knowledgeable veterinarian to see what options there are.

You can find information on vets at http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/PB_vets.html

You can find information on caring for disabled rabbits at http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabrefs.html#dis some of that may be applicable to the type of care this rabbit needs.
