Question
How old do the baby rabbits have to be to first open there eyes?

Answer
Laura,
Ten days is the time when baby rabbits open their eyes. If they go as long as 12 days and they are not opened, you'll need to manually open then by tugging slightly on the eye lids. No, it will not hurt them, and will keep them from going blind, as eyes that don't have exposure to light within the first 12-14 days will start to atrophy, and they will be unable to accurately work!

Hope this helps. Steve
