Unusually large rabbit droppings

Question
Hello, I am the owner of a 4 year old dwarf rabbit- Frodo. Lately, I have noticed that Frodo will leave an unusually large poop outisde her cage in her play area. It is typically smelly, a dark brown color, and issolid, yet soft in texture. It is not diarrhea. But it does have a pungent smell. It does not resemble the small grape-like-cluster of "edible" poops that she sometimes leaves out, and otherwise she is her usual happy self- affectionate and playful. I've read the very helpful article from the Miami houserabbit society on Rabbit Poops- but I"ve not seen anything that describes this matter. I often feed her fresh carrots, or apple sections, and wonder if that is a contributing factor? She always has fresh timothy hay available, and commercial rabbit food and water. She is otherwise litterbox trained.
Any advice? Her behavior otherwise seems normal, so maybe they are just LARGE poops- Your help is appreciated. I would say that these poop masses are about the size and color of a 3" tootsie roll that has been kind of squished in to a mound. Many many thanks!

Answer
Certainly it would be worth a trip to the vet to make sure Frodo doesn't have any other health issues.  You could try cutting back on the apple and carrots to see if that makes a difference.
