QuestionI am gettiing two rabbits. Not for breeding, but for pets. What is the best combination? Two males or two females?
AnswerIf you got 2 sisters, that would certainly be the best combination. They might get hormonal and fight at around 6 months of age if you are getting them as babies, but once they are spayed that goes away.
I've also had brother/brother pairs that worked well, once they were neutered, but sister pairs are much more common.
You can find a lot of good info on caring for rabbits at http://www.rabbit.org/care/new-bunny-index.html including diet, litterbox training, and spaying/neutering.
