Question
Our 4 mos. old flemish giant doe has suddenly developed a droopy ear. It will not stay upright. She doesn't act like it hurts her and there is no sign of ear mites. What should we do?

Answer
Dear Chris,

If you know she has no lop heritage, then this could be an early and subtle sign of an ear infection or even infection by the parasite, E. cuniculi.  Sometimes these problems do not manifest as a full head tilt (torticollis), but rather only as one droopy ear.  But the need for a good vet exam, proper diagnosis and treatment is the same for your bunny's mild (at the moment, at least) problem as for a full head tilt.  Please read:

and find a good rabbit vet here:

I hope that helps get you started.  Please write back if you have other questions.
