Question
how do i stop her from chewing my wires? It's the only room in the house we can keep her and i heard there are deterents that may help
Are there ways to really protect  my wires?

Answer
Dear Lynne,

The only thing that will *really* protect your wires and keep her from being injured (or starting a fire) is to not allow her to chew the wires at all.  Repellents do not work.  I know people who have tried everything, and rabbits don't care if you put tabasco or "bitter apple" on the wires.  They just lick it off!

What we've done is to put wire protectors on any electrical cords that cannot be removed or tucked away out of bunny's reach.  Clear plastic tubing from Home Depot (in the plumbing section) is good for this.  You can either buy tubing with a large lumen and thread your wires through, plug and all, or you can buy narrower, thicker tubing, slit it longitudinally, and then tuck the wires inside the plastic tube so bun can't get at them.

If your bunny is the Chewer From Hell and will even go for soft plastic tubing, then the other alternative is to get lengths of PVC pipe (in the plumbing section) and thread your wires through those.  We've laid them along the baseboards, and they are nearly invisible.  You can even pain them to match the wall or carpet.  Angle connectors can be used to guide the wires around corners.

Hope that helps!
