Feeding for shows

Question
I am starting to raise Red Satin rabbits and would like to know if you can recommend a good feeding program. Currently they are being fed Heinhold show rabbit food with(16% protein). They also get timothy hay and I just started to feed a small amount of show boost. For a treat they get black sunflower seeds and rolled oats. I'm very careful not to overfeed them, the adults does get no more than 5 oz. of pellets a day. Adult bucks get a little more. The babies I allow to eat as much as they want.  I do feed dark greens to the adults twice a week. They enjoy them.  The weather has been extremely hot and that does affect their fur quality. All the rabbits are healthy and feel nice and firm, their fur just isn't as nice as it could be, am I doing something wrong?

Answer
hi laural-its the first timei have heard of show food.
we dont do anything else but feed our rabbits on pellets and water to drink. if they are going to show the only thing we do is to groom them everyday for about a wek prior to the show.
not trying to show off but i have won several best in shows with this method and i think as long as you look after them properly all will be well
