Question
Hi! My 13 year old daughter will be entering a white mini - rex rabbit into the local 4-h fair this year. The rabbit has a yellowish hutch stain and we read that it takes away points of the rabbit and we dont think it looks as pretty with the yellowish on his rump and at the bottom of his tail. How would you get rid of this hutch stain?

Answer
There is actually an excellent website where the rabbit breeders tested different products to see how they worked and rated them.

Avoid using products that require a full rinsing, though, as  rex type fur curls from moisture.

All of the products may curl his fur a little, so when it is dry, run some corn starch through it (this will help straighten it again). Make sure anything put in the fur is completely out before showing. I would advise doing this a few days before the show so that all substances are out of the coat. Any substances left in the coat can be a disqualification as "faking", since they can alter the fur texture.
