mysterious injury to the neck

Question
My rabbit is an albino, and it is in a cage with another albino rabbit as well. the older one of the two is 8weeks old. One morning I went out to feed it and it had a hole in its neck, Idon't know why either we keep their cage in our poolbarn at night, and put it outside during the day. the hole in its neck is getting bigger and now I can see inside of its neck a little bit. Please help me. Is it going to die. It doesn't seem to bother it, it hops around fine. Is it scratching its self too hard? or is the orther rabbit hurting it?

Answer
Dear Harley,

Without seeing the wound, I cannot tell for sure what it is.  But if it is not healing and is getting bigger, it *definitely* needs the attention of a good rabbit vet if the bunny is to get well.  You can find one here:

Is there a chance the rabbits are fighting?  Rabbits confined to a cage, especially if they are not spayed/neutered, will often fight, and very serious wounds can result.  Observe the bunnies carefully, and if you see fur around, or any other signs of struggling/aggression, place them in separate housing immediately.

Please get the injured bunny to a good rabbit vet ASAP for examination and treatment.
