Question
Hi Wondered if you could help.
Ive got a mother and 5 baby bunys, there 5wks old and are in the same hutch, wich is in there run.
havnt sexed them yet as they all look the same, but I would like to keep them all!
I plan to build another run so they will have over 20ft to explore in. Whats the chances of them all getting on and is this a good idea?.
They have 10ft run already.
Also mother is a superb mum, but has recently started to be very stroppy when its time to put her in the hutch for the night!!!!!!!.
She lunges and can bite! Whats wrong with her, doesnt she realise,im only puting her in the hutch for bed so shes not a tastey snack for a fox. Naughty Girl. please help.

Answer
Well, you can keep them together until they are 3-4 months old, then you will need to determine gender so they can be separated.  At 5 weeks all bunnies look the same.

They should get along ok, until those nasty hormones kick in at about 4 months.

The mom may be telling you she doesn't want to go back in the hutch, or she could be having hormonal problems and will act this way to everyone.

If she is spayed that behavior should go away.
