baby rabbit with loose stool

Question
I have a 8 week old rabbit that we have had for 4 days.  He may have a normal stool and then later it may be runny.  I am feeding him pellets and alfafa hay.  Not sure how much he is drinking, and not noticing much urine, but he is very small and hard to see when he uses the litter box.  Noticed him eating some of the litter which is a cat litter of recycled paper that looks like little grandules.  He is not real active, but is that normal since we have not had him long.  We also have a 6 month old female rabbit that is not too happy he is there.  She is getting spayed next week.  am keeping them apart, but cages are close.  I keep a blanket over half of the new ones cage for security.  Would appreciate any help on the matter.

Answer
Dear Theresa,

Runny/mushy stool in a baby rabbit is of much greater concern than in an adult, and should be treated as an emergency. Please read this immediately:

and please find a good rabbit vet here:

who can help you.  The bunny needs supportive veterinary care ASAP, so that dehydration does not take her life.  Please do this as soon as you can.  It is of utmost importance to waste no time.
