Question
hello again this site is fab.
I have two 5mth old lion heads, who are in a large run next to a lop and her 5wk old babies.
The lion heads used to share the run{which is now split into two halves}, with mother lop, before she had her babys but had to separtate them when thay were born.
The lion heads have become rather antisocial, with me!! and growl all the time.
do you think its because mother lop has her own babies now and are jelouse?
I have tried to mix them all, it goes quite well but mother gets a bit cheezed of.
They used to view her as there mum, you see.
do you think there is any chance of them all mixing? and is there anything I can do to win them round. Thanks

Answer
The mom is probably glad they've gone, and would like them to stay gone.  Some get along well with their offspring long term, and some of them have no interest whatsoever.

As for the ones growling, are you trying to pick them up, or do you maybe smell of perfume or cigarette smoke?  Many bunnies don't like strong odors and react badly.

If not, you might check out http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabcare.html#aggbun and see if their behavior can be mended in any way.

If the mother growls or bites or chases them off, then she would really rather not be with them, and you will need to keep them separated.
