Question
i just got a baby rabbit a few days ago and i'm in the process of litter train him. when supervised i let him run around my room, but he has a chewing problem. he loves chewing on my boyfriends leather work boots and his everyday timberland leather boots.also he tries to chew the cell phone charger wire and telephone wires and any other wire around so i have to put them all up.pretty much he sniffs and chews anything in sight and i'm worried about his health and my belongings. is there anything like toys or anything that i could buy for him to chew on instead of harmful things and my belongings?

Answer
Dear Amanda,

Baby rabbits, like baby humans, like to test things with their teeth.  There's a possibility that he will grow out of this.  But note that chewing is a natural behavior for rabbits, and you should provide safe chew toys and opportunities for your bunny's wellbeing.  Here are some excellent web sites on safe chew toys and how to protect your house from unwanted chewing:

http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/chewing.html

http://www.rabbit.org/chapters/san-diego/behavior/bunnyproofing.html

http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-6/chew-stick.html

If you need more information after you read those, please let me know.  There are tons of good articles on the web that will help.

Good luck!
