Rabbits being pregnant and suchlike

Question

hello (waves again)

i wrote to you asking if you thought my two lionheads might be pregnant, you were a great help and everything, cheers.

I have just one more question, if both rabbits produce litters, then they will be born near enough on the same day. when they start running around n stuff, can i let the mums and litters out to run around in the same area?

Answer
I would say that you can let the two mom's and their litters run around together since they have been in the same cages together. You might want to be extra careful when doing this though, since they will both be kinda protective of young.
Babies get thier eyes open around 8-10 days old. They will start getting out of their nestboxes around 2-2 1/2 weeks old, but don't let them out to run  around until they are about 4 weeks old. They are still really easy to get cold any younger than that, and are still nursing on mom for most of their nutrients. It is ok to hold them and pet them as soon as they get their eyes open. This helps to socialize them earlier. They will beging to trust humans earlier this way. good luck with the babies!
