Answer
Hi Elizabeth,
I would try using pine shavings as a litter, very easy to clean, and absorbs odor..but never give them cedar shavings, could cause lung disorders...only use PINE,it's clearly marked on all the packages at the pet shop and most pet shops don't carry cedar shavings anymore because of this.
They don't like peeing near their eating place,so put the food right beside where you don't want them to pee...this should clear up the problem ..all the best to you and your new friends!   Elizabeth
