Rabbit in labor?

Question
Hi
my rabbit gave birth this evening to 4 babies. They were all born dead, but looked to be very underdeveloped. I've seen newborn rabbits before, but these looked more like later term embryos than kits. Two looked almost full term, one was very tiny and underdeveloped and deformed, and the fourth was MASSIVE, but appeared to be in a blood-filled bag.
The doe pulled them all from the nest and left them scattered across her pen, but she is still continuing to build a nest and pluck fur. Could there be more on the way? Or is she still in delivery mode?
Thanks!

-----Question-----
Hi
I have a pregnant dwarf....she's about 4 weeks pregnant. She built a nest about a week ago and now I'm wondering if she might be in labor. Yesterday morning she was her fine active self, but then last night and this morning she's stopped eating, is grinding her teeth, and lying with her back legs spread. She looks really uncomfortable. I'm worried because the buck is a Holland lop (not too much bigger than her) and she is about a year and a half and this is her first litter. Some people have said that after a year their pelvic bones fuse, making delivery difficult.
Is this normal? Or should I take her to the vet?
Thanks!
Pam

she sounds like she may be going into labor. It has been long enough since bred. She should deliver any where from 29-32 days after being bred. Holland lop to dwarf should be fine. No as they get older their pelvic bones do not fuse. Most breeders don't breed their does until they are about a year old or more. This is about the time they retire from showing and then beging breeding. She will be ok. Only take her to the vet if she doesn't deliver after 35 days after she was bred and you know 100% she is pregant.

Answer
Hello,
Sorry on your loss. It is not uncommon for a doe to lose her first litter. It is mainly from inexperience. She is a very young breeding age doe. I personally would wait 5 days from the  loss of the litter and rebreed her. It is easier on her than to wait a few months before breeding her again. I am not sure why she had deforemed babies. Some may have been "peanuts" since both parents were dwarf breeds, but unsure about the blood sac like one. ??? Good luck with future breedings, and keep in mind that even top breeder's loose litters and you cannot prevent all litter losses.
