Info about my rabbit

Question
I just got this 6 month old bunny(give or take a month) from a girl who got it from another girl who knows very little about it or its parents...I am unsure of what kind it is or if she is pregnant...she was kept with a male for a month or so and then kept with her brother and her mother for another week before she was given to me...so i was told when i got her that there is a good chance that she may have been impregnated by her brother or by the other male her previous owner has...I am unsure of really what to do with a bunny or any real details about them due to i am new at owning one. She looks to be gaining weight and she is getting very lazy...but i also read on a site that if fed to much pellets a rabbit may gain weight by that too and as far as i know she has eaten pellets & fresh fruit all her life so far...so i am unsure of how to tell if i am doing things right and i am not looking forward to waking up on morning to a litter of bunnies, i also have 9 female degu and a cat and two young boys and my bf and another little one on the way in about 2 or 3 weeks so i am trying to get ahead of things before my house is turned upside down...lol
Any Information that you could give me on feeding and breeding of rabbits i would be very thankful
Yours truly
Stephanie

Answer
hi stephanie-a rabbit needs only one cupfull of food each day and fruit is bad for it as it can give them the runs -she needs a cage on her own with plenty of straw or hay so if she is pregnant she will make a nest.24 hrs prior to giving birth she may start and pluck hair from her chest -yhis is common
dont be impatient to see the young just let her get on with bringing them up
dave.
keep me informed.
