Peanut is pulling fur

Question
My rabbit peanut, she is pulling fur. Is this normal? I've read that when they do this, they are pregnant. And her and Thumper have been checked and they are girls. But after they were checked, Thumper had start to show a sac on each side of where he/she is going potty. Is this normal? UM Thumper is a Netherland Dwarf and Peanut is a Mini Rex Dwarf.
Please help me

Answer
Hi Allyson,

seems like you need to get Thumper re-examined again.  Sacs on each side are really only there to hold something....like testicles....

People can sometimes make mistakes sexing a rabbit, especially if they attempt to do it before they hit sexual maturity.

Have you ever seen Thumper mounting Peanut?

I would guess that someone made a mistake sexing Thumper and Peanut is pregnant.  The best thing to do to prevent unwanted rabbits is to get both of them fixed (you need to do both because they both need to have their hormone levels go down, otherwise one will be very turned on and the other will not and fighting will occur.  Please only go to a good, experienced rabbit vet.  If you don't have one, go to:

www.rabbit.org/care/vets.html

and find a House Rabbit Society recommended rabbit vet in your area.
