Question
I have three rabbits; a mini lop, dwarf lop and a netherlands dwarf. I have a run which is 15 ft x 6ft for them, which is placed on the grass in the back garden. I let them run around until it gets dark and then place them in the hutch, only to find that they dig in the corners of the run and leave little holes there. How can i stop them from digging? they play together and i give them plenty of toys, food and water.

Answer
Dear Sara,

There's no way you could or should stop them from digging.  This is one of a rabbit's most natural behaviors, as running around is for a dog (or sleeping is for a cat!).  The very reason to put them outside should be to let them have a good dig.

It's important, though, to make sure there are concrete footers all around the bottom of the run so they can't accidentally dig out and have a tragedy.

But don't try to stop them from digging.  It's what rabbits do best, and it's their favorite, most healthy form of play.
