WONDERING IF MY RABBIT IS ILL

Question
Hi, I have a Netherlands Dwarf, female, not fixed rabbit. The last couple of days she has been making these noises that sound like grunting, but I don't think that's what she is doing. She has started to sneeze a bit, not very hungry, but I've seen her drink water. She still is very play full. I've also noticed that she's not going to the washroom and when she does it very small pellets all clumped together.

Answer
Hi Bonnie,

it does sound from whatyou describe she is having a gut problem (a slowdown or partial blockage).  Rabbits will sneeze for a number of reasons, but if you see any colored mucus (not clear) she has some kind of respiratory infection.

The lack (and smallness) of fecal pellets is a big (and will progress to a life-threatening) problem.  My advice is to get her in to your vet as soon as possible, like first thing tomorrow.  Make sure she continues drinking until then.
