My Rabbit Hasnt Eaten or Drank Anything

Question
My 1 1/2th y.o female Lionhead rabbit hasn't eaten anything since Friday and since I changed her litterbox on Sunday, hasn't drank anything.  She may be pregnant.  What's going on with her?  I don't know if she's still upset that I left her (I spent 5 days in the hospital) or there is something else going on.  She's still quite active, her usual grumpy self.  Is there a way I can entice her to eat or drink?  Please help!  I can't afford the vet and I don't want her to die!

Answer
Heather,

If your rabbit hasn't eaten or drank anything by now she is in trouble.  Lionheads can get hairballs.  A hairball can kill a rabbit.  What do her stools look like?  Is she having any stools?  If she isn't eating then nothing will come out.  If she was pregnant they only go off of feed for a day or 2 before  kindling.  So you would know by now.  If you are in serious desperation and absolutely can't afford a vet you can try syringe feeding her baby food, about 10cc of banana/pineapple.  They seem to like the taste. But when a rabbit needs to be syringe fed, it is probably not going to survive anyway.  Pineapple can help dissolve the hairball.  And if she is better and you have ever have another question I highly suggest that you scroll through all experts.  Find someone specifics name, read their profile and make sure that they can answer your question.  When you ask an expert they only have 3 days to answer but most will answer within a day or 2.  When you put a question in the all experts group you never know when someone will go in there.

I don't even know when you asked this question, but I am just praying your little baby is ok.  Please let me know.
