Question
Hia, I rescued 3 tiny rabbits about 5 months ago now. I think they were just
over 3 week old when I got them? (They had been left in a cardboard box
outside). Anyway, they are, gorgeous, fit and healthy now. One of them I have
now discovered is a girl since opening the hutch to find babies. They are
dutch rabbits and one of the babies is pure white. They are just 3 week old
now. I didn't know you could get pure white ones? Is this because mum and
dad are brother and sister? I never realised, I was told they were boys!!!
Thanks for your time x

Answer
Do either parents have blue eyes, or does the pure white one have blue eyes? If so, you probably have a blue eyed white netherland dwarf (or one of the other breeds that have blue eyed whites such as polish) rather than a dutch. If you cross blue eyed white rabbits to coloured rabbits, the result is often a coloured rabbit with white markings very much like a dutch. If two of these "dutch" coloured rabbits are then mated, you can get back to the pure white with blue eyes.
