Male butt swollen

QUESTION: I have a 8 week old netherland buck and his butt is swollen. He is not nutered and lives outside in the right now snow climte. But he is in the garge which s much warmer and away rom wind.He is still in wiht his mothering and get food and hay regalarly. He eat. jumps, and drinks fine and seems healthy. His mother does try to mate with him. What is wrong with him?
ANSWER: Sarah - you need to be more explicit - where Butt ?  His back legs ?  his testicles ? Need more info to be able to answer you.

Sarah, the only thing I can think of is that maybe his Mother bit him there ?  I would try washing with mild soap and rinsing very well, drying with a clean towel and putting a bit of vegetable oil on the anus.  Try doing this 3 x a day - for a few days.  Just remember to dry him off thoroughly so he does not catch cold.
