Question
Hi...i have three pet baby rabbits...7 days old...yesterday their mother was injured and since then she's coming to feed them but i dont see any signs of them filling up...i mean their tummies are not swollen as they used to be after a feed...my pets have had babies before and till now i hadnt seen this kind of behaviour...i need to know that till when should i wait before manually feeding them if no improvement occurs, as its been almost 24 hrs since the babies tummies were filled...also what should i feed them. I am from India and and we dont have any proper pet care centers available here or any sort of pet foods. Please do guide me as i dont want these babies to die.

Answer
Hi Kanika

First be sure that she isn't feeding them.  If they are moving around and lively she is probably feeding them.  Rabbits only feed their young once and occasionally twice a day.  If she isn't feeding them there is a formula you can use but I have to tell you that successful survival of kits without a mother is rare no matter how hard you try.

Here is the link with the formula, put it in an eye dropper and feed them several times a day.

Good luck I hope the babies do ok.
