bunny post-op behavior

Question
Hi, I have a pet mini rex rabbit who is almost 4 years old, and I just got her spayed about a week and a half ago.  She is just about the sweetest bunny in the world, she is very docile and respectful to her family, but a few times a year she gets this unstoppable urge to jump up on the couch and dig like crazy!  I figured it was a nesting thing due to her hormones, but I also thought that once she was spayed she would mellow out a little bit.  Like I said, she was only spayed about a week ago but she's already up to her old tricks digging like crazy on the couch.  Is this behavior normal for a bunny after spaying, or is it just residual hormones from before the spay that is making her act like this?  Any information you can give me is greatly appreciated, thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soojn!

Answer
It could be left over hormones, but it could also just be natural behaviour. Rabbits are digging animals. Even males will often dig like that. Giving them somewhere that they are allowed to dig can help, and a soft tap on the head and a firm "No" when she does it on the couch can also help.
