Question
I was at a friend's house and there dog caried in a baby bunny. we tried to locate it's home but were unsucessful. what can i do to keep it aive and what do you believe i should feed it.  it's not very old mabey a few days.  thank you.

Answer
Dear Brandy,

If you cannot find the nest to return the baby (which would be his best chance of survival, then the  next best thing would be to contact a wildlife rehabilitator.  You can find one here:

If you can't find a rehabber, then the last resort would be to try and raise him yourself.  It's not easy, but I hope the instructions here will help:

If you can find a good rabbit vet near you with this list:

www.rabbit.org/vets

I would take the baby there for a checkup and more advice.  It's possible that someone at the clinic might have expertise in raising wild babies, especially if the vet specializes in exotics.

I hope this helps!
