Rabbit Trip

Question
I have to take my 2 yr old rabbit on a small trip through the mountains.  Will altitude sickness be a problem?  If so what are the symptoms and how may I help my rabbit?  Thanks.

Dear Tabby,

It should not be a problem for your bunny to travel across the mountains as long as the altitude isn't extreme.  How high are we talking?  If it's no more than 6000 feet or so, and you're just driving through without stopping to run around, I don't think your bunny will even notice it unless he has a cryptic heart condition (unlikely).
