Sneezy bunny

Question
I got my bunny when she was 12 weeks old and she immediately started sneezing. At first I thought it was allergies but changing her surroundings didn't help. I took her to the vet who said she had a rabbit cold and as I understand it this means an upper respiratory infection. I was instructed to give her injections of Baytril twice a day .25 cc's. After I week and five days of that she is still just as sneezy. Do you think she's just allergic to any kind of dust. I can't figure out whats wrong with her. I want to get another bunny so she can have a friend but I'm afraid that rabbit will catch whatever she has. Please help!

Answer
Dear Wesley,

It does sound as if your rabbit has an upper respiratory infection, and most of these are susceptible to Baytril.  But if your bunny is still sneezing after this long, it's time for a culture and sensitivity test:

Other things also can cause sneezing, such as a foreign body up the nose.  Please see:

Hope this will help, and your bunny will be well soon.
