Question
Hi, i have a two part question, firstly i have a male rabbit which is about 3 years old in my back yard where it roams freely and its given food and water everyday, its very much like a dog, it plays and comes near u when you call it...its very healthy and shows alot of affection...my question is that another rabbit (black), has shown up outside my house and wont leave, i think it can smell my rabbit or its concentrated unrine which my rabbit sometimes leaves in the garage...and it wont leave, the entire neighbourhood has plently of plants and vegetation for it to stay here, i dont know where it has come from and it wont leave, i have even petted it once or twice, the question is that my parents feel we should adopt this rabbit and let it rome free in the back yard with my much older rabbit?, i wanted some advice as to if this would be a good idea or not, i believe they will fight and my older rabbit will harm this baby rabbit??, please tell me how i can resolve the situation, should i just return it to the rspca or introduce it with my much older rabbit who is very confortable with its surroundings and has his scent all of the backyard marked...plz send me some feedback as to what i can do for the other rabbit outside??...thank you

Answer
Hi Micky!

I'd catch the 'new' rabbit and hand him or her over to the RSPCA.

I'm guessing you live in the UK?

Any new rabbit could carry hundreds of diseases and I'm sure you wouldn't want your existing rabbit to get sick.

Theres also the small matter of different sexes and you could end up overun with babies.

Another thing is that someone could be looking for the black rabbit, call local vets and let them know you've found this bunny, then call the rspca and ask them for some advice

Hope this helps
