crust or mites in rabbits ears

i read that you can clean bunny ears with q tip obviously not deep but topically.  my florida rabbit has a type of crust in his ears that is like a beige color what is it and how can it be treated

Dear Melody,

Don't use anything to clean the ears.  If your bunny has ear canker, it must be treated with Revolution.  Just cleaning the ears will be very painful, and not cure the problem.
