Lionhead breeding

Question
Hi i am from Greece.I have a major problem.I have 2 lionheads. They are already at mating age. The female gave birth till now 3 times. 6 babies every time. No baby survived. The first 6 died because as the vent told me the mother had no milk.I fed them 6 days then all died one by one.The second ones now...1 died at first i figured it must be the weather. All babies born during summer. The other four REACHED the age that could feed alone.Open eyes and had fur.Till that time i had no box for the babies. They raised in the cage.(The male was in other cage but had no eye contact with female) Then i placed the cage together so male and female could have contact.Next day 3 were DEAD and the other one followed next day.NOW the last birth. This time i placed a metallic box for the babies. The female born the half inside the other half outside.I removed the male and put with a paper the rest of the babies in the box.The adult ones could have eye contact. To my surprise 5 bunnies were dead next day... they had no legs! and some had blood on head.Except 1... i said noway what is that from mice???? i stayed close and saw with my eyes the mother... to cut off the last baby's legs!! I could nothing else but kill it... cause it was alive with four legs cut...couldn't stand it...anyway.After all these i don't know what to do.I am scared to see new babies dead and i think the female is pregnant again.Help pls.

Answer
Hi,

This may not be a good female for breeding but since she is pregnat again then there is really nothing you can do.  One thing that I suggest you do is not put the male in there and one you see that the babies are born then you should leave them in there for the day keeping a constant eye on them and then removing them at night when I am guessing the female attacks.  Try this and please message back with the results.  I hope I could help and I would suggest getting another female for breeding if you want to comtinue.
