my rabbit has started to dig holes

i have had a loin lop for the past 3 and a half years and she has started to dig holes in my garden, could you tell me why since she has never done this before.

Digging is normal behavior for a rabbit, and the real question is:  why didn't she do this sooner?

If she's not spayed, she may be engaging in nesting behavior due to false pregnancy.  Having her spayed will help mute, if not stop, this behavior.  Plus, her risk of uterine cancer gets higher every day she's not spayed.  Please read:
