Question
Hi, I have a 7 month old lion head dwarf, Jake. This might be nothing, but I noticed that hes been sniffling a little bit recently, should I be concerned? Can bunnies get colds? Also, He licks things- me, my clothes, his toys...why? Haha, it seems so odd. Please let me know.
Thank you!

Answer
Dear Ashley,

Rabbits don't get colds, but sniffly noses can be a cause for concern.  Please read:

and find an experienced rabbit vet here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

Licking things is sometimes just something certain bunnies do.  If he's licking YOU in particular, it means he loves you and is giving you bunny kisses.  Sometimes a bunny will lick furniture or toys because they like the taste, or just out of interest or boredom.  As long as the pain has no lead or other heavy metals, it's not a problem.

Hope that helps.
