Questionhello there we have just been given a 6 week old baby dutch rabbit and one of his back legs sticks out more than the other - his back end is also quite sticky although his poo is hard and fine? please can you advise me!!
AnswerIt sounds like your bunny might have a splayed leg. The first thing to do it take the baby to a vet to confirm that it is splayed leg and not a broken or otherwise injured splayed leg.
I'll assume that it is splayed leg. This is a condition in which one or sometimes all of the legs stick out to the side. While unusual, rabbits can live happy lives with this condition. If it is splayed leg, your bunny might benefit from this bracing technique:

The back end is probably sticky because the rabbit can't properly get into the correct grooming position to get everything clean back there. This is one of the side effects of the splayed leg condition. You'll need to help the bunny keep clean. An occasional butt bath will help your bunny out. It'll also help if your bunny has something to lay on that will let the urine pass through. Faux sheepskin works well. You can also consider diapering your bunny. It will be quite important to keep the butt and back feet as dry and clean as possible.

These sites have methods for keeping a rabbit's bottom clean:

This article is for diving a dry bath. My vet gave me nfz puffer to use for dry bath: http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/buttbath.html
For faux sheepskin, some pet stores and agriculture stores like Farm & Fleet sell faux sheepskin. What they sell is lower quality and doesn't stand a lot of washing. If you are looking for something long term, I recommend ordering from this site:

I hope this helps
