Question
My 9 year old rabbit has ears that are sticking up. Last few days, I noticed that one of the ears had become droppy. When I tried to pick it up, it feels limp. He is eating well and is like his normal self. Is there anything wrong with him? Pls advice.... thank you!

Answer
Dear Cindy,

A suddenly drooping ear can be a sign of an ear infection, or even of onset of symptoms associated with a parasite known as Encephalitozoon cuniculi.  In either case, your bunny should be seen by an experienced rabbit vet as soon as possible, so the condition can be properly diagnosed and treated.  If it's an infection, it could lead to worse things, such as head tilt.

Please find a good vet here:

I hope this helps.
