Question
MY RABBIT HAD 7 BABIES ALL HEALTHY AND WELL. I WANT TO KEEP TWO OF THEM WHAT SEXES ARE BEST TO KEEP TOGETHER. TWO DOES OR ONE DOE AND ONE BUCK. I WOULD HAVE BUCK NEUTED WHEN TIME RIGHT

Answer
Hi Julie,

don't post using all caps (it means you are shouting).

The 'best pair' depends on the rabbits and who gets along with whom.  It may be two gals, it may be a boy/girl pair, it may be two boys.  You need to separate boys and girls between 8-10 weeks before any of them are sexually mature.  You may want to note their behavior together before separation and see if you have a pair that seem to get along better with each other and if they are the same sex, keep them together in the same cage after you separate boys and girls.  If they are different sexes, they must be separate until 1 month after the last one has their neuter or spay operation, and then you can go through the rebonding process with them.

If you sell the other rabbits you don't plan to keep, ask for at least $20.  Don't offer them cheap or free 'to a good home'.  There are a lot of snake people out there looking for cheap or free snake food and they fool naive rabbit owners by claiming to be rabbit lovers.
