QuestionMy daughter has a Norwegian Dwarf approximately 7-8 months old. The rabbit seems healthy other than she developed a spot of hair loss on her center back below the neck line(approx size 1 X 1/4 inch). There does not appear to be any breakdown of the skin underneath. She does seem to like being scratched in this area more than normal. No other areas of hair loss have been noted. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks - Paul
AnswerDear Paul,
Many rabbits have an area of thinner fur there, but if it's bald or flaky, it may need treatment by an experienced rabbit vet:

Please read:

for an overview of some of the most common causes (and treatments) of abnormal fur loss in rabbits.
Hope that helps.
