operation

hi ive just been told that my rabbit has to have an operation regarding her teeth going up into her tear duck.she might not come out of this as its 50/50,and they might grow back. we were told she can be put to sleep or try the op what do you think we should do.she has lost loads of weight.

I have not seen the radiographs of the teeth, so cannot really offer an opinion on how necessary it is.  If your bunny has infected molars, then sometimes an option is to remove them.  But I would find out if the problem can be treated non-surgically first (e.g., with antibiotics).

You haven't told me anything about the bunny's condition, so I really don't know what to tell you. I would suggest, however, that you find a really good rabbit vet here:

and get a second opinion.  In a case like this, that is the wisest thing to do.
