QuestionWe just adopted a 9 year old dwarf rabbitt. It is very sweet and looks very
healthy. We are concerned with a constant clear milky drip coming form it's
eyes. I know their tears can be this color. Is this common? it also has a light
film over both eyes is this from old age? should we see a vet or is there a
home/natural way to heal this? I have been using tea bags and this seems to
be helping. Thank You. New Rabbit Mom
AnswerDear Alexandra,
Older rabbits often have runny eyes due to blocked tear ducts. Sometimes a bit of antibiotic/steroid ophthalmic ointment from the vet can clear up the problem. But sometimes the problem is due to dental disorders, and are harder to fix. Please read:

and find a good rabbit vet here to help you:

Hope this helps.
