Mini Rex Behavior

Question
We have a Mini Rex approx. 10 mos. old. He comes in our kitchen every morning to play during breakfast before the kids go to school. He has started to run around in a circle around my husbands legs, and through them. When he's done, he makes a loud thump with one hind leg. This is quite deliberate and isn't an erratic behavior. Any clues why?

Answer
Sounds like your sweet little boy has hit puberty.  He's engaging in circling behavior with someone he likes.  Don't be surprised if you start to see him spray at some point.

You'll want to think about getting him neutered.

This site has some info on neutering:

It would stop his circling. And if he's starts spraying, that would be stopped by a neuter.
