Question
When you cut the toenails.
is is SUPPOSED to be so hard. Cuz my rabbit's toenail is like really realy hard. I am always scared to cut it...cuz it might hurt the rabbit..
I really have a strong urge TO cut it.. But than im scared it might hurt.
The toenails are very very long

Hi Susie,

you need the right type of nail cutter.  It needs to be a trimmer like they use on dog nails, only smaller.

My suggestion to you is, since you are nervous about it (and your rabbit will stress because it will pick up on your nervousness), is to take this opportunity to go to the vet for his annual wellness exam.  Rabbits need a yearly exam at the bare minimum, like cats and dogs do.

At the wellness exam, you can ask the vet to show you how to safely and properly trim your rabbit's nails.  Just go to a good rabbit vet (not all vets are).  If you need to find one, start here:
